Department of Digital Media

Digital Media prepares students for careers in digital media. It equips students with foundation theories and procedures to develop sound multi-communication structures. It integrates: graphics, text animation, video and audio digital materials to entertain, educate, and communicate ideas through meaningful human interaction.

Instruction is organized to offer a balance between:

  • conceptualizing projects based on sound analysis, design and evaluation;
  • fostering skills of creativity and teamwork to develop and deliver products.

Students in Digital Media (DGM) may earn either an AAS degree or a Bachelor's Degree. Areas of specialization include: Digital imaging, Digital video and audio, 2D and 3D animation, Internet and Web-based media, CD-ROM and DVD authoring.
