Javier Sueldo

Javier Sueldo

Mr. Sueldo was born in Payson, UT. With a background in business, Mr. Sueldo decided to pursue his dream occupation and chose to become an elementary school educator. Mr. Sueldo now teaches 5th grade at Park View Elementary.

"When it comes to my students, I don't care where they came from, what they've been through, or where they are at academically. The second that child walks through my door, they are my responsibility, and I've just added them to my family."

Adam Smith

Adam Smith

Adam was born in Boise Idaho but has lived in Utah most of his life. He was a successful student throughout high school and was valedictorian of his graduating class of ‘09. He received a presidential scholarship at UVU and has continued to work hard on his degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. He is now student teaching at Orem High School and will be graduating this spring. Adam married his sweetheart Ashley last August and looks forward to a bright future with his family and career. Adam has developed a deep love of math that he wants to share with others through his teaching. He understands the importance of math in the lives of his students and hopes to be a teacher who can make a positive difference for them.

“Nothing can make or break a student more than their teacher. If it were not for some good math teachers throughout my education I would not be where I am today. There is nothing that I would rather do than give that same opportunity to my future students.”


Master of Education Spotlight

Aspen King

Aspen King

Aspen graduated from UVU with a secondary art education degree and now teaches ceramics at Lone Peak High School. She decided to pursue a master’s degree to further her love of learning and to find new ways to improve her curriculum design skills and teaching techniques. She plans to eventually earn her doctoral degree, and she is thankful to the education programs at UVU for helping her do what she loves.
