Want to be a Firefighter?

Can you handle the heat?

Come spend 4 hours in the boots of a firefighter.

Even if your not interested in a career in firefighting, come see what you're made of.

Activities include: PT, turnouts/SCBA, ladders, hoses/nozzles, search and rescue, high-rise tower, etc.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area. Basic disaster response skills taught are:

  • Disaster Awareness and CERT Organization
  • Damage Assessment
  • Incident Command
  • Fire Suppression, Hazardous Materials, and Terrorism
  • Search and Rescue
  • Medical Skills
  • Psychology of Disaster

CERT training allows you to assist other in your neighborhood or workplace during an emergency when professional responders are not immediately available to help.


Cost is $20 for the class and $25 for CERT Backpack. Includes instructions, training materials, CERT hard hat, CERT vest, and much more. Registration fees may also apply.
