Admissions Deadlines, Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees at Utah Valley University's ELL Programs have been set at $2,914.00 for 20 credit hours.

Audit Courses

Changes for auditing a class are the same rate as regular credit classes and such hours will be counted as part of the student's total credit-hour load for tuition purposes.  Students may only request an audit through the last day to add.

Registration Late fee- $100

Regardless of circumstances, students who did not register and pay tuition according to the registration schedule, will be classified as late registrants and assessed the late fee.

Reinstatement Fee

A fee of $50 will be charged for reinstatement of classes for a student terminated earlier during the same academic semester.

Credit by Examination fee (Challenge Credit)

A nonrefundable fee of $15 is charged to take a challenge examination.  Tuition is charged at a rate of $5 per credit.

Student Financial Responsibility

Failure to meet financial commitments and/or obligations to the College will result in a "hold" being placed on the student's record. Registration for future terms and transcripts will not be available until the obligation is cleared.

Note: Simply completing the admissions application does not finalize admission to UVU. Depending on your student type, you will be required to submit supplemental documentation to complete your admission. It is important to submit the information in a timely manner as some documentation can take time to review and process.

While the ELL Program tuition is lower than regular UVU tuition for non-resident and international students, the quality remains the same. Here are some of the advantages of the ELL Program at UVU:

  • Students accepted into the ELL Program are matriculated into UVU. That means once you complete the ELL program, you continue your studies at UVU without reapplying- no TOEFL test needed!
  • Level IV classes may count towards earning your degree. See your major advisor for more information.
  • Twenty credit of Level IV classes fulfills the foreign language requirement for a A.A. or BA degree. Please see your major advisor for specific information.
