Course Objectives
This
course

develops

a deeper understanding and
control of the contrasting uses of tenses to express present, past, and
future time,

the ability to use the modals of
possibility and past modals accurately,
-
the ability to understand the
difference between the active and passive voice and to form passives
accurately,
-
a deeper understanding and
control of article use;

teaches students to

understand the various patterns
of identifying adjective clauses,
-
understand the
various patterns of verb complementation and be able to use gerund and infinitive
complements accurately,

understand the
distinction between real and unreal conditions and be able to form these
clauses accurately,
