advanced concepts of pronunciation, intonation, stress, English phonics,

opportunities for students to build confidence in public speaking

speaking and listening in advanced academic situations such as note-taking and
participating in class discussions and debates

weekly use of the UVU Language Lab where advanced conversation skills are
emphasized and practiced
