For nearly twenty years, UVU has cultivated the academic exploration of religious
diversity and diplomacy. Due to the importance of religion in human identity and relationships,
the Center for the Study of Ethics has been committed to facilitating discourse across
religious and ideological divides. Our location and mission provide a unique opportunity
to engage religious communities and provide a forum for scholarship and dialogue.
The Center for the Study of Ethics focus is closely connected to the campus-wide Interreligious
Engagement Initiative designed to support academic activities and community outreach
related to religious diversity and interfaith relations. These activities include:
- a campus Reflection Center that allows for religious expression, meditation, dialogue, and student collaboration,
- academic programming including the annual Religion & the Humanities Conference,
- support of the Interfaith Student Council, and
- multiple community partnerships to enhance interfaith cooperation.
