Office of Engaged Learning Grant
$400,000 annually has been set aside to fund faculty and staff grants (approximately $2,500) that support and get to the heart of the three P’s (people, place, profession).

Institute for Professional Engagement Grant
UVU faculty and staff may apply to the IPE for funding to provide off-campus student excursions to explore major and career options and the related professional competencies needed to enter the workforce once their educational experience is complete. Grant funds are awarded in two rounds annually. Sponsored Programs (Grants)
UVU strongly supports its faculty in pursuing research and scholarly opportunities. As a UVU faculty member, being actively involved in research, writing, publishing, professional conferences, etc. ensures your continued involvement in your discipline, furthers your career as a scholar, and supports teaching as you bring your excitement and expertise about contemporary issues in your field to the classroom. The Office of Sponsored Programs provides support for faculty members seeking funding for research and other scholarly projects.

Faculty Service-Learning Fellowship/Stipend
This fellowship is designed to assist faculty in developing or enhancing their course for service-learning designation. Applications are due Fall and Spring semesters and the individual fellow is paid $750 upon completion of fellowship. Staff Educational Fund Award
Limited funding is available to staff who are pursuing further education. Please contact Mark Wiesenberg for additional information.
Presidential Award for Faculty Scholarly Activities
This funding is available to support faculty scholarly and creative activities that show potential for future publication, grant awards, creative works or other research projects. Faculty Scholarly and Creative Activities Funding Opportunities
Exceptional Merit Grant Program
A small fund has been allocated to underwrite faculty/staff projects on campus that will advance the mission of the college and enhance the creative and nurturing learning environment that enriches our students. Individual grant awards will not exceed $5,000. The committee will not fund: a) a specific project more than once, b) a stipend for research, c) tuition costs. Scholarly and Creative Works Fellowship
The funding made available for this fellowship is for the support of faculty who want to participate in scholarly and creative work but need help to get started. The fellowship is also for experienced scholars who are willing to mentor fellow faculty in their discipline or across disciplines. Scholar of the Year Award
The Scholarly and Creative Activities Council, through the Office of Undergraduate Research and International Programs, has established an award intended to formally recognize the outstanding scholarly and creative activities of faculty and students at UVU. Funding has been set aside to annually award one outstanding faculty and one outstanding student with a cash award which could be used for further scholarly and creative activities. Board of Trustees Awards of Excellence
This award is intended to formally recognize the outstanding achievements of faculty and staff with particular emphasis on teaching, scholarship, administration, innovation, and public service. Faculty Travel Fund
The Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence in cooperation with the Faculty Senate Faculty Development Committee awards limited funding to support faculty travel.
Instructional Development Awards
The Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence in cooperation with the Faculty Senate Faculty Development Committee awards limited funding to support instructional development. The purpose of this fund is primarily to assist faculty in their efforts to improve instruction and to develop new instruction at UVU.

Capital Reef Field Station Grants
The Capitol Reef Field Station supports and provides funding for UVU faculty and mentored student investigation in the following areas: 1) Natural or cultural history research within the Colorado Plateau region; 2) Environmental or biological monitoring and research associated with visitor use at the field station; 3) Curriculum development for educational uses at the field station; and 4) Education research related to the field station (pedagogy, experiential learning, etc.).
