The Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence in conjunction with the Office of Engaged Learning at UVU are proud to host the Fifth Annual Scholarship of Teaching and Engagement (SoTE) Conference!
This year's theme is Engaged Learning: Bridging the Gap. Community leaders from all agencies and organizations as well as faculty, staff, and administrators from institutions of higher education are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. SoTE is an opportunity to dialogue, discuss, debate, and share ideas about building robust and collaborative relationships between academia and the community as well as ways to enhance student learning and improve teaching for the betterment of our society and the world. Conference registration includes a LOW fee of $25 for one day or $40 for two days. The fee is waived for UVU faculty, administrators, staff, and students. The conference is hosted at UVU, nestled in the majestic Wasatch mountains. Sundance Resort is less than 30 miles away. Other nearby attractions include Park City, less than an hour drive from UVU. Park City has many trendy shops, world-class ski resorts, and is home to U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association.
