To be eligible for these scholarships, you must be currently admitted to UVU, have submitted transcript(s) (either High School if just graduated or college if transferring), and have submitted ACT or SAT scores (if applicable). Most of the scholarships, highlighted within this web site and the many others not mentioned require the Comprehensive Online Scholarship Application.

There are a few scholarships that do NOT require the Comprehensive Online Scholarship Application, but it would be to the benefit for the student to complete and submit the online form. If there is a question regarding specific scholarships’ requirements, please contact the Scholarship Office at (801) 863-8443.

Honors

University Honors Scholarships has additional requirements and a application that needs to be completed and submitted to the Honors Department. Link to application is located on the online scholarship application in Part II.

  • This award is a partial housing award.
  • If retention criteria are met, this scholarship is renewable for an additional year.
  • Residents and Non-Residents may apply.
  • Must specifically select this scholarship by checking the Honors scholarship checkbox in Part II of the online scholarship application
  • Requires an essay - Two essays are required. Essay topics are within the online application.
  • GPA required 3.5 or above.
  • ACT of 25 generally required.

Lead Program and Housing Scholarship

This award is a partial housing award.

    • This scholarship is for incoming freshman, transfer, and continuing students with less than 90 credit hours obtained at UVU.
    • Residents and Non-Residents may apply.
    • GPA required 2.75.

Listed below are the different divisions you can select for the Lead Program:

Traditional LEAD Division

  • Criteria: 3.0 GPA and 12 credit hours
  • Description: A two-year program that not only allows you to choose your own leadership experience, but if so desired, also choose your own mentor and other experiences. 

Wolverine Ambassador LEAD Division

  • Criteria: 3.0 GPA and 12 credit hours
  • Description: Students in this division will connect prospective students with resources that will help them on the path to college. 

Women of UVU LEAD Division

  • Criteria: 2.75 GPA and 12 credit hours
  • Description: For female students who focus their leadership learning on women in leadership, serving through the UVU Women’s Success Center. 

I Am First LEAD Division

  • Criteria: 2.75 GPA and 12 credit hours
  • Description: Students who are the first person in their family to go to college (whose parents did not complete a bachelor’s degree), serving through the First-Year Experience Office at UVU. 

Technology Management Lead Division

  • Criteria: 3.0 GPA and 12 credit hours
  • Description: A  two-year program specifically for technology management majors that provides succinct leadership development with requirements that align with their major. 

Army ROTC Lead Division

  • Criteria: 2.75 GPA and 12 credit hours
  • Description: Is conducted throughout your Military Science II and III years and allows you to refine your cadet leadership experience by focusing on reflecting, counseling, and team building.
