To be eligible for these scholarships, you must be currently admitted to UVU, have submitted transcript(s) (either High School if just graduated or college if transferred), and have submitted ACT or SAT scores (if applicable). Most of the scholarships, highlighted within this web site and the many others not mentioned require the Comprehensive Online Scholarship Application.

There are a few scholarships that do NOT require the Comprehensive Online Scholarship Application, but it would be to the benefit for the student to complete and submit the online form. If there is a question regarding specific scholarships’ requirements, please contact the Scholarship Office at (801) 863-8443.

Details

Need based refers to the student's inability to easily afford a college education and the expenses associated with it. To determine the extent of the student's financial need the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FASFA should be completed. The federal government will be sent electronically to our office.

Another option would be to complete the "FAFSA 4caster" located on the FAFSA page under "Thinking About College?" To submit the 4caster, print out the web page, once completed, write the student's UV ID at the top, and deliver the hard copy to the UVU Scholarship Office.

All students wanting to be considered for need-based scholarships must either complete the FAFSA or the FAFSA's 4caster.
