Needs-Based Scholarships
Deadlines - February 1 for Incoming Freshman and Transfer Students
March 1 for Continuing Students

Freshman and Transfer Students:

1. You must be admitted to UVU.
2. Have a UV ID#.
3. Complete the online comprehensive Scholarship Application ('Apply Here' button). An essay will be required.
4. Provide the Admissions & Registration Office with a copy of your high school grade transcript or college grade transcript(s).
5. You may complete the FASFA. The FAFSA will be sent electronically to our office.
   
   or
   
   You may complete the "FAFSA 4caster" located on the FAFSA page under "Thinking About College?" Please submit the 4caster printed output with UV ID written at the top to the UV Scholarship Office.

Continuing Students:

1. You must complete by the March 1 deadline the online comprehensive Scholarship Application ('Apply Here' button).
2. You may complete the FASFA. The FAFSA will be sent electronically to our office.

   You may complete the "FAFSA 4caster" located on the FAFSA page under "Thinking About College?" Please submit the 4caster printed output with UV ID written at the top to the UV Scholarship Office.

Center For Personal And Career Development -- This award is half tuition for one or two semesters and is not renewable. The requirements are:

• Priority is given to displaced homemakers, non-traditional students, single parents, children from single-parent homes, and a parent or child in a low income home.
• Incoming freshman and transfer students.
• Residency is required.
• GPA required 2.5.
• FAFSA or FAFSA 4caster printed output is required.

Cultural Diversity -- This scholarship is half tuition for one or two semesters and may be reapplied for. The requirements are:

• Students are required to attend a three-day orientation workshop prior to the beginning of Fall Semester where additional requirements for the scholarship will be explained.
• Incoming freshman, transfer and continuing students.
• Residency is required.
• GPA required 2.5.
• FAFSA or FAFSA 4caster printed output is required.

Trio -- This scholarship is half tuition for one or two semesters and is not renewable. The requirements are:

• First generation students.
• Low income students.
• Incoming freshman and transfer students.
• Residency required.
• 2.5 GPA required.
• FAFSA or FAFSA 4caster printed output is required.

Upward Bound/Talent Search -- This award is half tuition for one or two semesters and is not renewable. The requirements are:

• Associated with Upward Bound/Talent Search Program.
• Incoming freshman.
• Residency required.
• 2.5 GPA required.
• FAFSA or FAFSA 4caster printed output is required.
