Wolverine Ambassador Scholarship

To Apply:
- You must be admitted to UVU
- Have a UV ID#
- Complete the Wolverine Ambassador Scholarship Application form (PDF)
- It is recommended that you also complete the online comprehensive Scholarship Application ('Apply Here' button)
- To be considered for most scholarships, applicants must be admitted to UVU and provide the Admissions & Registration Office with a copy of high school grade transcript, ACT Scores (if applicable), or college grade transcript(s) and complete the online comprehensive scholarship application by the February 1 deadline.
Scholarship Details
The Utah Valley University Wolverine Ambassador Program is designed for top student leaders, providing opportunities for leadership development through a variety of activities involving recruitment, campus outreach, and much more. The unique role of being a Wolverine Ambassador places you in a continuously visible position. Please be aware, this program requires a significant amount of time as our Ambassadors are involved in many aspects of UVU recruitment.
Application Procedures
- First-time freshman or transfer student
- Residency is required
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or above
- Students must have made significant contributions to their schools and communities through involvement, leadership, and service.
Ambassador Participants will:
- Assist the Prospective Student Services office with the recruitment of future students by participating in recruitment visits to local high schools, presenting information to prospective students, and assisting with campus tours and events.
- Enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Enroll in a 2 credit leadership course designed specifically for Wolverine Ambassadors.
Students must:
- Complete the Wolverine Ambassador Scholarship Application form (PDF) and mail or fax it to Prospective Student Services, care of Whitney Olsen.
- Include and attach a summary of all leadership positions in high school and in the community, including any special honors, awards, and activities.
- Attach a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, coach, or community leader.
- Compose and attach an essay which is no more than two pages describing why you want to be a Utah Valley University Wolverine Ambassador and outlining how you can contribute to the Ambassador program. It would be to your benefit to discuss your public speaking experience, ability to work well with others, self direction, and UVU school spirit.
- Keep copies of your application for your records. Utah Valley University will not return applications.
Application Deadline
- February 1, 2011. Applications must be postmarked by that date or faxed by 5 p.m., MST. Late applications will not be accepted.
