APPLY TO UVU Complete the online application at www.uvu.edu/admissions and pay the application fee. The admissions deadline for fall semester is August 15 and for spring is December 20. A late fee may be charged if applications are received after these deadlines.

After 48 hours, you will need to access your UVU student e-mail account by going to www.uvu.edu and clicking on UVLink. This e-mail account is where ALL OFFICIAL UVU communications will be sent. Be sure to check often for news, notices, etc. A welcome packet with all pertinent information will also be sent in the mail within one week of your acceptance to the university.

COMPLETE WEBSTART PRE-ADVISEMENT

a. Go to www.uvu.edu and click on UVLink. If you have not yet obtained your UV ID, click on the link titled, “How do I find my UV ID?” The first time you login to UV Link, your password will be your birthday (mmddyy).

b. Click “Webstart” and begin the pre-advisement session.

c. Print out your completion certificate and bring it to the meeting with your advisor. For questions regarding Webstart completion, call (801) 863-8425.

SUBMIT ACT OR SAT SCORES AND HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT Test scores are required for all students under age 21 who have not completed 15 or more college credits. The must be submitted by the admissions deadlines. All students can attend UVU regardless of test scores. The New Student Assessment test is required if:

a. ACT scores in English, reading and/or math are less than 19 or SAT scores are less than 500 in verbal and/or math. (English scores must be less than three years old and Math must be less than two years old.) Send scores to Testing Services, 800 West University Parkway MS 120, Orem, UT 84058.

b. College credit equivalent (AP, CLEP, transfer) to UVU’s ENGL 1010 and/or MAT 1010 or higher is not posted to your UVU transcript. Send official transcripts to UVU, 800 W. University Parkway MS 106, Orem, UT 84058.

The UVU Placement Test is available at no charge at Testing Services in the Wolverine Service Center (WS) room 101. There is no appointment necessary. The WS is open M, W&TH 8-6, T 8-8, F 8-5. The complete assessment takes approximately two hours. The last test is handed out two hours prior to closing. For questions regarding the Placement Test, call (801) 863-8269.

MEET WITH YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISOR After completing the above steps, you will meet with an adviser to get personalized help and be cleared for registration. If you need help locating your advisor, contact Career and Academic Counseling in the Woodbury Business Building (WB) 147, (801) 863-8425.

REGISTER FOR CLASSES AND PAY TUITION Log on to UV Link at uvlink.uvu.edu. Select “Registration” menu then click “Look up classes to add.” Use the search tool to find the classes you’re looking for then select the check box next to the course to add it to your schedule. Financial Aid or Scholarships
Complete the Federal Financial Aid Application (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The scholarship first priority deadline is Feb. 1. The financial aid first priority deadline is May 1. Questions may be answered at www.uvu.edu/finaid/ or call (801) 863-8442.

Textbooks
Purchase textbooks online through UVLink “Book Match” or visit the UVU Bookstore in the Sorensen Center (SC) 102.

UV ID Card
After you have registered and paid tuition, get a UV ID card at Campus Connection, located in the Sorensen Center. Your UV ID Card gives you access to the UVU Library, athletic events, student activities, computer labs and a 5 percent discount at UVU Food Services.

Parking Permits
Permits can be obtained by visiting One Stop or Parking Services at 939 South 400 West (east of UVU). Call (801) 863-8188 for more information. A current vehicle registration is required.
