Presidential Scholarship Banquet
February 25, 2014 -- 6:30pm

Check-in begins at 6:00pm in Centre Stage

The Presidential Scholarship is based on your GPA and ACT score. It is a four-year full tuition, fees and stipend award. UVU President Matthew S. Holland will be the keynote speaker. You'll also receive an honorary certificate from President Holland.

Keynote Presentation topics include:

  • Scholarship
  • Achievement
  • Leadership
  • What UVU has to offer you

Representatives from several academic departments and student leadership groups will be on hand for you to get your questions answered. Some of these departments and groups include, but are not limited to:

  • Wolverine Ambassadors
  • The Center for the Advancement of Leadership
  • Honors Program
  • Academic Colleges and Schools

RSVP

The RSVP deadline is February 19, 2014 at midnight. Each student who qualifies for the Presidential Scholarship is allowed to have up to 2 guests. RSVP by clicking below.

Check-in

You will only need your name to check in at the banquet. Check-in begins at 6:00pm at Centre Stage in the Sorenson Student Center. Seating is determined on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

Parking

Parking is free after 5:00pm if you park anywhere on campus except the parking garage. The parking garage is $1.00 an hour. The best place to park would be lot L3 or L4 by the library and then enter campus through the double glass doors to the Liberal Arts building at the top of the stairs. Sterling Scholar Banquet -- January 14, 2014

The Annual Sterling Scholar Banquet held at Utah Valley University is for all Sterling Scholar winners across the state of Utah. Keynote speakers are chosen from a list of thought leaders from UVU.

Keynote presentation topics include:

  • Academic Achievement
  • Leadership
  • Success in life and career
  • Opportunities in Higher Education

Representatives from several academic departments and student leadership groups will be on hand for you to get your questions answered. Some of these departments and groups include, but are not limited to:

  • UV Mentors
  • Service Council
  • Honors Program
  • Scholarships
  • All Academic Colleges and Schools

The banquet is free and a nice, plated dinner is provided. Each Sterling Scholar is allowed to bring up to 2 guests upon RSVP. The RSVP deadline is January 8, 2014 at 11:59pm. You can RSVP by clicking below.

Scholarships Available to Sterling Scholar Winners

Sterling Scholar awards are one-year, full tuition for high school winners and four-year full tuition for Region and State Winners and runner-ups. Applicants must complete the online scholarship application.

  • Incoming freshman.
  • Residency is required.
  • GPA required 3.0 to receive shcolarship.
  • RETENTION:
  • 1 year 3.0 cumulative GPA and have 12 'earned' credit hours per semester.
  • 4 year 3.5 cumulative GPA and have 12 'earned' credit hours per semester.
