Presidential Scholarship Banquet
February 24, 2015 -- 6:30pm

Check-in begins at 6:00pm in Centre Stage

The Presidential Scholarship banquet is for all students who have applied and are being considered for the Presidential Scholarship at Utah Valley University which is a four-year, full tuition, fees and stipend award. UVU President Matthew S. Holland keynotes the event. You will also receive an honorary certificate from President Holland.

To be considered for the Presidential Scholarship you must have over a 3.9 GPA and a 30 ACT (1340 SAT). Due to a limited number of funds, not all students who are considered will receive the Presidential Scholarship. Those who are not selected will receive the Exemplary Scholarship, which is a four-year, full tuition scholarship.

  • How UVU can help you achieve your academic goals

Representatives from several academic departments and student leadership groups will be on-hand for you to get your questions answered. Some of these departments and groups include, but are not limited to:

  • Wolverine Ambassadors
  • The Center for the Advancement of Leadership
  • Honors Program
  • Academic Colleges and Schools

RSVP

The banquet is free and a plated dinner is provided. Each student is allowed to bring up to 2 guests upon RSVP. The RSVP deadline is February 18, 2015. You can RSVP by clicking below.

Check-in

You will only need your name to check in at the banquet. Check-in begins at 6:00pm at Centre Stage in the Sorenson Student Center. Seating is determined on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Sterling Scholar Banquet 
January 23, 2015 -- 7:00pm

Check-in begins at 6:30pm in the Grande Ballroom

The Annual Sterling Scholar Banquet held at Utah Valley University is for all Sterling Scholar winners across the state of Utah. Keynote speakers are chosen from a list of thought leaders from UVU.

Keynote presentation topics include:

  • Academic Achievement
  • Leadership
  • Success in life and career
  • Opportunities in Higher Education

Representatives from several academic departments and student leadership groups will be on hand for you to get your questions answered. Some of these departments and groups include, but are not limited to:

  • Service Council
  • Honors Program

Scholarships Available to Sterling Scholar Winners

Sterling Scholar awards are one-year, full tuition for high school winners and four-year full tuition for Region and State Winners and runner-ups. Applicants must complete the online scholarship application.

  • Incoming freshman.
  • Residency is required.
  • GPA required 3.0 to receive shcolarship.
  • RETENTION:
  • 1 year 3.0 cumulative GPA and have 12 'earned' credit hours per semester.
  • 4 year 3.5 cumulative GPA and have 12 'earned' credit hours per semester.
