Ellen began her stint at UVU in 1997 in the Athletics Department. She worked as a research analyst in Institutional Research from 2000 to 2002 and was coordinator of prospect research in Institutional Advancement from 2002 to 2005. She became the database manager for Institutional Advancement in October 2005 and received the PACE Distinguished Employee Award in the Spring 2007.

Ellen is a Rexburg, Idaho, native and a graduate of Madison High. A mother of seven, Ellen attended Ricks College and currently lives in Mapleton, Utah. She was the owner of a Provo floral shop for 16 years.

Bart Jacobs

Bart is the primary data manager for Institutional Advancement. He began his education at Utah Technical College in 1986 before earning a Master of Business Administration degree from Utah State University (emphasis in accounting). Bart worked as revenue accountant in UVU’s Business Office for seven years before spending another seven as lead programmer over the student information system in Computer Science. He then went to Institutional Research as an associate director for a couple of years before coming to Institutional Advancement in 2001.

Bart has coached UVU’s ski and intramural golf teams, served as an advisor for the bicycle and ski clubs and is very involved with the UVU Auto Expo committee. His wife, Janeal, is a purchasing agent for UVU Facilities. They have four children and one grandson. Bart has a private pilot license from UVU’s Aviation Science department, and he enjoys golfing, boating, skiing and camping.

Teresa Eastman

Teresa started Working at UVU in August 2005 as a receptionist. In July 2007, she moved
into the role of administrative support for Institutional Advancement. She performs dataentry tasks for donations, gifts, sponsorships, data cleansing and input, updating records and tracking events on the Blackbaud Alumni/Donor database system. She also performs administrative assistant duties.

Prior to joining UVU, she was manager of the children’s department at Mervyn’s, manager
at Interstate Ceramics and personal assistant at Mossback Productions. A Provo native,
Teresa now lives in Salem, Utah, with her husband, Mike. She has three children and six
grandchildren.
