The university does not evaluate nor imply the suitability or safety related to any off-campus housing property, landlord, management, realtor, or any other individual or organization associated with off-campus housing. Utah Valley University does not sponsor, endorse, approve, or certify any off-campus housing and any off-campus housing that markets as such is not authorized to do so, by law. UVU also does not authorize certain verbiage, which is sometimes used in housing classified advertisements. Certain verbiage not authorized may say the following: UVU Housing, UVU Off-Campus Housing, UVU Student Housing, UVU Apartments, UVU Rental, UVU House, UVU Approved, UVU Sponsored, UVU endorsed, UVU Certified or UVU Contracted. Any off-campus housing that markets using such verbiage is not authorized to do so, by law.
Utah Valley University does not require the use of any of the third party classified systems and other means of searching for housing are available throughout the county and online. Any information provided, given or submitted by all users is done so voluntarily and the university is not responsible for both the information, it association and use. We encourage all users to be cautious and safe when providing their information to any third party individual or organization.
The university and all off-campus housing organizations, businesses, and owners participating in the residential engagement initiative are under no obligation to provide or guarantee any person(s) a housing scholarship or any form of housing discounts.
The REC Program is managed and directed by the Department of Off-Campus Housing at Utah Valley University. The Department of Off-Campus Housing is under the direction of the Office of Student Affairs at Utah Valley University. Only students admitted into the REC Program are eligible for REC Housing Scholarships. Utah Valley University maintains the Residential Engagement Initiative with off-campus housing complexes who provide housing discounts for REC Program student leaders. REC Students are given a housing site assignment and must perform programming responsibilities throughout the year in order to qualify for the housing scholarship. The REC Program Full Housing Scholarship is defined as an 9-month, academic year scholarship (August through April). REC Program Housing Scholarships are not provided during the summer months from May through July.
Only students admitted into the CAL Program are eligible for CAL Housing Scholarships. The Center for the Advancement of Leadership maintains all management and direction of the CAL Program and all associated housing scholarships. The Department of Off-Campus Housing manages the housing scholarships for the CAL Program, but does not direct or manage the distribution of housing scholarships to students accepted into CAL Program.
Only students admitted into the Honors Program are eligible for Honors Housing Scholarships. The Honors Program maintains all management and direction of the Honors Program and all associated housing scholarships. The Department of Off-Campus Housing manages the housing scholarships for the Honors Program, but does not direct or manage the distribution of housing scholarships to students accepted into Honors Program.
