Basic Life Insurance - UVU provides $50,000 in term life insurance coverage to all benefit eligible employees. An optional $5,000 in dependent term life insurance coverage is also available for the employee's spouse & children.

Group Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance - UVU has available to all benefit eligible employees optional supplemental life insurance coverage. Eligible employees may elect coverage up to 5 times their annual base salary in term life insurance coverage, and up to 50% of the employee's election for their spouse. Benefit eligible employees may also elect from $25,000 to $500,000 in Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance. Coverage may be modified or terminated at anytime during the year.

Long-Term Disability Insurance (LTD) - Full-time benefit eligible employees are covered under a LTD insurance plan. Plan benefits include 66.67% of base salary and a continuation of retirement plan contributions, after a 5 month waiting period in which the employee is approved for disability benefits.

Workers Compensation Insurance - All employees are covered under the Institution's workers compensation insurance policy for injuries or illnesses received as a result of their employment with the Institution.
