Position Summary:

Oversee the completion of all multi-camera video productions; work with Studios & Broadcast Services (SBS) personnel to carry out all aspects of production.  Oversee and maintain all delivery of SBS content, whether it is physical or digital delivery.  Oversee and maintain all video data management systems in use by SBS.


Essential Functions, Major Duties, and/or Accountabilities:
  • Oversee the completion of all multi-camera video productions  40%   
  • Oversee and maintain all delivery of video content, physical and digital 20%  
  • Oversee and maintain all video asset management, data and systems used by SBS 20%   
  • Produce video content for university support purposes 20%


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Full-time, Part-time and student employees. 

Special Requirements of the Position:
  • Fine Hand Manipulation; fingering, picking pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand a in a handle. 
  • Pushing/Pulling; using upper extremities to press against something with a steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward or to exert force in order to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Hearing; perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking level with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.
  • Seeing; required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and reports; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive inspection involving small defects, small parts, operations of machines (including inspection) or to make general observations facilities or structure (i.e. security guard, inspectors, etc.); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distance close to eye.
  • Vision ability; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Graduation from an accredited institution with an A.S degree in Television Production or a related field and 6 years’ experience; OR any combination of education and experience totaling 8 years.

  • Knowledge and experience in processes and procedures in a live multi-camera production facility. 
  • Knowledge of the Industry standard scripts, rundowns, rights, clearances and forms related to local and national broadcasting. 
  • Knowledge in broadcast related equipment functionality and interfaces.
  • Understanding of data management workflows, operating systems, and implementation in real world applications.
  • Organize and produce scripts and run downs for live multi-camera productions. 
  • Organize data workflows to allow proper management of video productions assets. 
  • Skill in operating lights, cameras, routers, switchers, digital disk recorders, graphics generators, edit stations.
  • Ability to manage a full crew in a live video production environment. 
  • Ability to act independently as director, producer, or technical director during a live event. 
  • Shoot and edit high end video projects for broadcast. 
  • Manage data storage and asset management systems.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
