Design and teach assigned courses. Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study that includes measurable objectives for each course taught. Prepares instructional materials (mock-ups, visual aids, and instruction sheets) as necessary. Instructs, manages, and supervises individual and groups in classrooms and laboratories by the following methods:  Demonstration, Discussion, Visual aids, Conferences, and Field trips

• Evaluates instruction and learning by means of written, oral, practical, and performance tests.
• Maintains a student-oriented approach to education.
• Assists in recruitment, advisement, placement, and follow-up of students. 
• Recommends students for advancement and graduation.
• Maintains and submits accurate and current reports and records involving student accountability, attendance, performance, and follow-up.
• Coordinate cooperative work experience programs and students as assigned.
• Establishes and maintains office hours and advises students during this time and at other times as needed.
• Assist counselors, department chairperson, faculty, and department staff in maintaining an effective program.
• Requisitions, receives, and checks books, supplies, and equipment necessary for coursework.
• Serves on committees and attends faculty and other meetings as assigned.
• Improves professionally and maintains currency in the courses taught by: Reading and utilizing materials found in technical and professional publications.
• Surveying and researching industrial and business establishments.
• Obtaining and maintaining certification as required. Attend professional and specialty courses.
• Keeping abreast of new development trends, and techniques through participation in workshop seminars, actual work experience, and exchange programs with business and industry to maintain skills, state of the art, and knowledge.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in the subject matter or a closely related area and one year of teaching or closely related professional experience; OR Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in the subject matter or a closely related area and two years teaching or closely related professional experience.
