History

The Institutional Effectiveness Committee was formed by the President and Academic Vice President in 1998. The committee was charged with the task of assisting departments in developing an Outcomes Assessment plan consistent with UVU's mission and accreditation standards. In February 1999, the Committee sponsored a two-day campus workshop. A planning approach was discussed  at that time by department chairs, deans, members of the committee, and the consultant. The result was an institution-wide process that  has been in place ever since. The process has been continually evaluated and improved over the years.
