International Student and Scholarly Services

The Utah Valley International Student & Scholar Services provides visa information, employment advice, and academic advisement for UVU's International Students. If you have questions about your visa or other issues, you are welcome to visit with one of our advisors at WB-100. Appointments are arranged on a first come first serve basis from 9 AM - 4 PM Monday - Friday. You can also contact an international student advisor at international@uvu.edu.

International Student and Scholar Services activities include conducting an orientation each semester for all new international students, managing the federally mandated Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) to ensure that all international students at UVU are legally "in status" under the federal statutes and regulations, and providing a wide variety of support services designed to promote academic success on the part of international students.

ISSS staff also complete the federal documents required for UVU to host a J-Scholar, to monitor the research, and to report to the federal government the completion of the research activities when a scholar returns home. In addition, ISSS staff advise the International Student Mentor Program, manage international student financial aid, and organize community engagement, service, and many activities.
