Whether hiking Costa Rica's rain forests, learning French in Nice, studying Michaelangelo in Florence, or teaching HIV-AIDS prevention in Ghana, UVU International Study Programs assists you in finding study abroad and international service learning opportunities. ISP expands your horizons and adds a never-to-be forgotten dimension to your education, offering credit that can be applied to most majors, and providing students the chance to experience a new culture firsthand and to see some of the major tourist sites of the world.
UVU's study abroad, service learning, and internship programs are generally offered during the spring and summer (May-August).
In this section, students can find details on UVU's current study abroad programs and instructions on how to apply to the various programs. This section also contains information on deadlines and payments as well as different financial aid options for students wishing to study abroad. Students can visit the International Center (WB147) to obtain information in person.

Check out this video of Senator Paul Simon talking about the importance of study abroad and proposing government funding for study abroad.
Also take time to read a wonderful new "Ethical Dilemma" piece that was published on Glimpse.org by NYU student Saman Maydani. In it, she wonders whether she should conform to cultural norms in Zambia by wearing skirts, or whether she should promote her own views on gender equality by sticking to jeans. Many American females are challenged by different notions about gender roles abroad.
