Exchange Student Information

Utah Valley University has signed bilateral exchange agreements with foreign universities. UVU students can participate in an Exchange Program while paying UVU resident tuition and fees, even if the student is considered non-resident. The programs are ideal for students who are independent and who seek a cultural immersion experience.

Cost and Financial Aid

The program cost for Exchange Programs is based on UVU resident tuition for 12-18 semester credit hours, depending on the exchange. Housing and meals may be included in some of the program costs, but transportation, international health insurance (required), and personal expenses are generally not included in the program cost. The program cost is $300 for UVU Outbound students. For more information, please review the specific program information.

Most financial aid (grants, loans, scholarships, etc.) can be applied to the Utah Valley University sponsored international study programs. Several scholarships are also available for matriculated UVU students within specific departments.

Courses and Credit

Students earn up to 18 hours of transfer credit per semester for most exchange programs. Students are required to get an academic advisor's certification regarding courses to be taken abroad before submitting application materials.
