Description

This program offers U.S. undergraduate students, with limited financial means, an opportunity to pursue academic study abroad for the purpose of preparing for significant roles in an ever-increasing global economy and interdependent world.

Deadlines

For Study Abroad during Spring Semester: September 15

For Study Abroad during Summer: NOT AVAILABLE

For Study Abroad during Fall Semester: March 15

Qualifications

All U.S. citizen undergraduates who are accepted to an eligible study abroad program, in good academic standing, receiving a Federal Pell Grant or provide proof that will be receiving at the time of application or during the term of study abroad. Must be in one country at least four weeks, which does not include Cuba or any country on the State Department's current Travel Warning list.

Amount of Award

Up to $5,000 but will vary dependent on need and length of study. Average award is $4,000. Recipients must use the award for tuition, room and board, books, local transportation, insurance, and international airfare.

Fall, winter, or spring/summer (summer only programs are not eligible),

Student must e-mail rough draft of application essays to UVU Gilman Advisor prior to completing online application.
