The Internship Scholarship Program offers 4 types of scholarships each semester to students receiving credit for their internship. Students may apply for more than one type of Internship Scholarship during the same semester, as long as they meet the minimum eligibility requirements (see each application for details). Students who have received an internship scholarship in a past semester may apply for an internship scholarship they have not received if they are completing a different internship.
Awards & Distributions
Recipients are awarded funds based on their internship scholarship proposal, internship applicability to major, academic progress, and career focus. Final determinations will not be made until the deadline for the scholarship has passed. Once awarded, scholarship money cannot be released until all internship paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate department.
2013 Summer Internship Scholarship Application

There is one application for the summer internship scholarship, but three categories that you can be considered for. Please review the requirements of each category before downloading the application form below.
General Internship Scholarships: Requirements

- The applicant must be a current UVU undergraduate at the time of the internship
- The applicant must be registered for at least 1 internship credit during the spring 2013 semester.
- The internship must be an unpaid experience.
- The internship must involve substantive and supervised work related to the applicant’s academic major or liberal arts experience.
- The applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing.
Government Internship Scholarships

- The applicant must meet all General Internship Scholarship eligibility requirements
- Internship must be with an official government agency.
Non-Profit (IPE) Scholarships

- The applicant must meet all General Internship Scholarship eligibility requirements
- Internship must be with a
need-based
non-profit organization.
*Internships at Utah Valley University do not qualify for the Government or Non-Profit (IPE) Internship Scholarships

2012-2013 University Project Internship Scholarship Application
In 2012 and 2013, the University Project will focus on improving math and reading skills among local youths. Students may apply for the University Project Internship Scholarship if they are participating in an internship which focus is on advancing math and reading skills among local youth. Requirements:
- The applicant must be a current UVU undergraduate at the time of the internship
- The applicant must be registered for at least 1 internship credit during the Spring 2013 semester.
- The internship must be an unpaid experience.
