Graduated Alumni Phone Survey: August 27- present

The Graduated Alumni Survey gathers data on educational outcomes, employment, and education since graduation for UVU graduates. All graduating students, regardless of degree level, are contacted in the summer at least one year following graduation; the 2012 survey studies graduates from the 2010-2011 graduating class. Data from the survey is used campus-wide in assessment and accreditation processes. The survey is also used to gather information used for marketing the University to the public. Individually identifiable data may be released to organizations within the university or the state and federal governments, but only summaries are released publically. This survey targets students who graduated from UVU one and five years ago.

Graduating Student Survey: Ongoing

The graduating student survey is a critical part of UVU’s assessment processes. The survey is administered to students during the semester in which they apply for graduation. It helps UVU understand the employment and further education plans of our graduates, provides insight into their experience while attending UVU, and asks questions of specific interest to departments and colleges. Departments across campus use the Graduating Student Survey to provide vital feedback which is used in accreditation efforts. The survey is also used to gather information used for marketing the University to the public. Individually identifiable data may be released to organizations within the university or the state and federal governments, but only summaries are released publically. The survey is conducted each semester, with an online survey after the graduation application deadline and a telephone follow-up interview at the end of the semester.
