In this performance, as in his new
book Poetry Is Wanted Here, UVU Senior Artist in Residence Alex
Caldiero will explore the role of poetry in the world today. Poetry
nurtures and perhaps exacerbates the parts of us that cannot be subjugated,
that cannot be militarized, that cannot be intimidated. In short, poetry
enlivens, makes real, makes flesh.
