Choosing Your Two Emphasis Areas

As an Integrated Studies student, you need to choose two emphasis areas that you will be integrating. These emphases are designed by the various departments that offer them. Together with the Integrated Studies core requirements they constitute your curriculum. The list of emphases below is taken from the official course catalog which you can find here: Official UVU Catalog.  If you have specific questions about the requirements for any of the emphases listed below, please contact the emphasis advisor for that emphasis.

You can choose any two emphases listed below with the following exceptions - you cannot choose:

  1. two emphases from the School of Business.
  2. two emphases from the Department of Behavioral Science.
  3. two emphases from the Department of Dance.
  4. History together with the History option for Social Sciences.
  5. two tracks from Communications.
