Program Overview
The CAL Mentoring Program links role models drawn from the local community with students participating in the Leadership Certification Program. The program connects mentors who may be volunteers from business, industry, community organizations, and the UVU campus, with CAL students.
What is the CAL?The Center for Advancement of Leadership is a unique program at UVU that is dedicated to enhancing the quality of leadership among individual students. We currently offer a Leadership Certification Program for UVU students that incorporates many elements of leadership development. |

Student Testimonials“I started out at UVU knowing only vaguely what I wanted to do, but CAL helped me find my niche! CAL aided in making my first year of college go by smoothly and gave me the perfect avenue to be involved not only at UVU; but in the community. Joining CAL was one of the best decisions I made when considering all of the options that the University had to offer-hands down! I would recommend the CAL to anyone who is looking for opportunities to not only improve themselves on an individual level; but to be a better citizen, student, parent, or leader. The CAL program helps to cultivate well-rounded individuals, and makes sense for anybody with any major.” |
