APA is frequently used in the sciences and emphasizes the currency of the information. There are a few differences between APA and MLA style:
  • The date is always second in APA.
  • The author's first name is always written as an initial.
  • In book and article titles, only the first word and proper nouns are capitalized.
  • There is no format note in APA.
