Media Checkout

Media Services & Engineering currently has equipment available for checkout through the Library. Go to the Library Circulation desk to checkout items.

Media Equipment Checkout Policy:

  1. These items will be available for faculty check-out only (except the student media equipment).
  2. On-campus check-out will be for three hours and the faculty member must sign the check-out document, leave their driver’s license and UVU identification card.
  3. Off-campus check-out will be for a set time period that must be agreed upon at time of check-out and may not exceed 5 business days. Requires departmental approval (signature of department chair). Departmental approval should be attached to this sheet.
  4. Student in-library-use laptops may not leave the library for any reason and may be checked out for 3 hours.
  5. All data must be saved on disc, flash drive or to network directory.
  6. A fine of $20 / hour will be assessed for late material.
  7. All items must be returned to the library 1hr prior to closing.
  8. All items will be checked out at, and returned to, the 1st floor circulation desk.
  9. Borrower must wait while contents are verified. Items will be checked for operability before being checked-out again. Borrower will be notified if media item is inoperable.
  10. Machine problems should be reported to circulation staff at time of check-in.
  11. Items must never be left unattended. Borrower will be held responsible for loss due to negligence or theft.
  12. Borrower is responsible for damage due to negligence or unfamiliarity with equipment.
  13. All users must adhere to UVU’s appropriate use policy.
