Media Enhanced Classroom Standards
Media Equipment Standards
Technology Equipment Standards have been established to facilitate the proper use of UVU funds, ensure that equipment can be supported, and provide consistency across campus. All big ticket items will be Professional/Commercial grade and have at least a three year warranty. These standards can help save time in the purchasing process and funding through out the life of the product.
UVU Media, consults on all classroom and conference room technology that is implemented at UVU both remodels and new construction. We have found this to be beneficial due to the need for support once the systems are put in place. UVU Media provides consulting, design, implementation, and support services. If an A/V technology is desired that does not follow campus standards or this implementation process is not going to be followed, then a technology standards exceptions form must be filled out and signed by the appropriate parties prior to purchasing equipment. Standard are reviewed regularly and are adjusted to meet emerging campus needs as well and new technologies.

- Clickers- Participants are able to answer questions real time with RF clickers
- Receiver- Instructors must connect to a RF receiver to gather information from participant’s clickers.
UVU has a centralized digital signage system (DSS) that allows for campus wide content as well as areas to own a percentage of the local displays in their areas. These systems must follow all standards outlined in the UVU digital signage guidelines as well as all UVU equipment standards.
- DSS System Summary
- Display- Flat Panel
