Welcome to the UVU Multicultural CenterThe Multicultural Center helps create and sustain an inclusive community that appreciates, celebrates, and advances multiculturalism and diversity at Utah Valley University. The Utah Valley University Multicultural Center currently serves over 1, 500 ethnic students, who come to Utah from all over the Unites States, and all over the world. Our mission is to recruit ethnic students, retain them, and educate current UVU students and the community through cultural events. |
My family is originally from Na’alehu, HI, which is the southernmost city in the United States. My father is Native Hawaiian and my mother is Caucasian (Haole). I began attending UVU when it was UVCC, but as life happened, I put my education aside. Eventually returning in 2007, I am currently pursuing two bachelor degrees in accounting and nursing. I love UVU! I have found it to be a place that I “belong” and where I have been given many wonderful opportunities to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. As a single mother of three amazing sons, I have faced many challenges during my journey, but I have been blessed with mentors, who have left lasting impressions on my mind and footprints on my heart. UVU is a place where dreams become reality and where ALOHA abounds. In one word, UVU means possibility!
