Multicultural Outreach-Cultural Envoy Program:

Multicultural Outreach is provided to public schools, corporations, state, and community entities through the Cultural Envoy Legacy program.  More than 100 UVU students volunteer as outreach ambassadors through song, dance, and presentations in the Legacy program.  The Envoys conduct lively academic and cultural workshops and performances to schools, government offices, corporate, and private groups.  Envoys encourage academic scholarship, skill building, and post secondary education.  The program includes "Legacy Polynesia, Legacy Latinos, Black (International African) Legacy, and Legacy Native Americans.  They become eligible for leadership and scholarship waivers by meeting leadership-promoting criteria.

Tino Diaz:
"The Multicultural Center at UVU had been my home for years. It continues to be a place where I enjoy the atmosphere of friends and colleagues who inspire and teach me. As a student the MC would be an escape from the tense pressures of the university and majority. It was nice and uplifting to be around brothers and sisters of different beliefs and cultures (the same as well). As an employee it acts as a bridge between departments and students; something I can support and make stronger. I could not have become the man I am today without them."
