The Woodbury Art Museum is proud to announce its Teen Docent Program, a community partnership with Provo and Alpine School Districts.
Teen Docents are high school students interested in learning about art and the art museum experience. At the same time, Teen Docents get a behind-the-scenes perspective on how the museum functions by meeting staff members and notable guest speakers from the art world. The program serves as an outlet for teens to complete community service hours as well as earn high school credit.
Interested students between the ages of 15 and 18 will need to complete a Teen Docent application including a signature from their school counselor and a letter of recommendation from an instructor from their school. Qualified candidates will then be selected through an interview process. 2 candidates are selected each semester and summer.
Participants from Alpine School District are eligible to receive credit for the Art History and Criticism elective. Interested students should contact their high school counselor.
Participants from Provo School District enroll through and are eligible to receive credit under PSD’s Internship program. Interested students should contact their school’s Internship Coordinator. |
