Violinist Stephanie Cathcart, a native of Salt Lake City, received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Music from Boston University.  While living in Boston, Ms. Cathcart studied with Bayla Keyes and performed with Boston Musica Viva, the Vermont Symphony, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, with whom she toured nationally several times.  Stephanie has participated in many music festivals, including the Tanglewood Music Center and the Colorado Music Festival.  She has studied chamber music with the Takacs String Quartet, the Muir String Quartet, and members of the Juilliard String Quartet, among others.  

Recent and upcoming chamber music performances in Utah include concerts on the Nova and Intermezzo Concert Series as well as a performance on the Westminster College Concert Series.  In Salt Lake City, Ms. Cathcart performs regularly with Canyonlands New Music Ensemble, Utah Chamber Artists, Utah Chamber Orchestra, and the Utah Symphony.
