Oboist Jayne Drummond has performed
throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.
Her performances include
concerts with the Seattle Symphony, the
Bellevue Philharmonic, the Tacoma Symphony, the Tacoma Opera, and Ballet
Bellevue. She has also collaborated with several recording projects, the
soundtrack for the movie “Premonition” and a
television broadcast with the
Grammy-winning a cappella ensemble Take 6
among them.
Active in Seattle’s teaching
community, she was a founding member of the Vivace chamber music festival for
young
musicians and has been involved with schools throughout the greater
Houston area. She is currently a member of the
Alpine Chamber Winds, comprised
of the woodwind faculty at Utah Valley University. Ms. Drummond holds degrees
from
Rice University and the University of Washington. Her primary teachers include such influential
American oboists as John
Delancie, Nathan Hughes, and Robert Atherholt.
