Connie Jensen
Connie Jensen teaches voice and conducts the Concert Choir at Utah Valley University. She received her bachelor
and masters degrees in voice and choral conducting from California State University, San Bernardino. While at Cal
State, she performed the role of Angelica in Suor Angelica, and also performed leading roles in Barab’s Little Red
Riding Hood, and Glibert and Sullivan’s The Sorcerer, and Princess Ida. In addition, she was student conductor of
the Concert Choir and assistant conductor for the opera workshop/musical theatre class, staging productions for the
annual Renaissance Banquet each year, while also performing in the productions.

Performance highlights include a solo vocal recital as part of California State University’s Alumni Artist Series, solo
recitals at the Springville Art Museum, and recitals in Nevada as part of the Community Arts Series.

Connie has been a guest conductor and clinician for the Jordan School District Honor Choir and has adjudicated the
Utah State Choir Festival.  She is currently finishing a master’s degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Utah,
and performed her first of two vocal recitals as part of that degree on November 1, 2009.

Connie also enjoys performing vocal jazz and frequently sings jazz with a combo in the Salt Lake and Utah County area.
Her first jazz CD is almost finished and should be out by early 2010. Upcoming concerts include performances of her
master’s vocal recital in January 2010 in Orem and in St. George in April, as well as jazz performances throughout the
area.
