Lysa Rytting received a Premier Prix in harp performance from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium,
where she studied with Susanna Mildonian. Other teachers include Marylin Costello, former principal harpist of
the Philadelphia Orchestra; Eileen Malone of the Eastman School of Music; and Louise Pratt and Rosalie Pratt
at Brigham Young University. She has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic, Trenton Symphony, Boise
Philharmonic, Chautauqua Institute Orchestra, Oregon Symphony, Las Vegas Philharmonic, and others. She
has appeared as a soloist with the Utah Symphony, Utah Valley Symphony, and Utah Chamber Players.

Lysa is an active recording studio musician and recitalist. As a member of the Aurora Duo with violinist Donna
Fairbanks, and the Amaryllys Duo with flutist Mary Richards, she has released CDs with 4TAY Records, MSR
Classics, Tantera Records, and Sanctus. Her many music festival performances include the Moab Music Festival,
Park City International Chamber Music Festival, Deer Valley Music Festival, Skaneateles Music Festival in New
York, and Oregon Bach Festival. Formerly a faculty member at Brigham Young University, she currently directs
the harp area at Utah Valley University and serves as second harpist in the Utah Symphony.
