Chad Schumacher made his concerto debut with the Honolulu
Symphony as a featured soloist in Korea and Japan,
performing in venues such as
the world-famous Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall and the Seoul Arts Center. After
graduating from BYU-Hawaii, Schumacher
attended Eastman School of Music, in Rochester, NY, earning a Master
of Music
in Piano Performance with Dr. Douglas Humpherys. Schumacher was selected to represent Eastman
as
coach and accompanist for the Dr. Kim Kowalke, a famed Kurt Weill and Lotte
Lenya Scholar, and President of the
Kurt Weill Foundation in New York City.
