UVU-Guest Manual Setup Instructions
Unsecure Filtered Wireless Network for University Guests
This network is limited to basic web access (ports 80 & 443) and is filtered to prevent access to pornographic and social networking websites in accordance with the Child Internet Protection Act.
Click here to allow the Auto-Connect wizard to connect you to the UVU-Guest network.

Windows XP
- Right click on your wireless network connection (either in the system tray or in Control Panel → Internet Connections) and select “View Available Wireless Networks”
- Click on the “Change Advanced Settings” link.
- Select the “Wireless Networks” tab
- Click “Add” and enter "UVU-Guest" in the SSID field, choose “Open” for Network Authentication and “Disabled or None” for the Data Encryption Field.
- Click “OK” twice. Go to "view available wireless networks, disconnect from UVSC-Wireless and connect to UVU-Guest

Windows Vista
- Right click on your network connection icon in the system tray or in Click on “Network and Sharing Center”
- Click on “Manage wireless networks”
- Click "Add"
- Click on “Manually create a network profile”
- Enter “UVU-Guest” in the Network name field
- Choose “No authentication” for the Security type
- Choose “None” for the encryption type
- Check the box to “Connect even if the network is mot broadcasting"
- Click “OK”

Mac
- Click on the Apple Airport and select “Other”
- Enter “UVU-Guest” in the Network Name field
- Enter “None” in the Wireless Security field
- Click “OK”
