Installing Identity Finder on Mac
- You can obtain the installation MSI from your UVLink. After logging into UVLink navigate to the “Help” tab. Identity Finder will be in the “Software Downloads” area. Open the “Employee” folder by clicking it, and then open the “Identity Finder” folder. Inside you will find the “IdentityFinder.zip” to download.
- Once the download is complete run the zipped installer package from your downloads location by clicking it.

- Open your System Preferences by clicking the Apple Icon in the top left corner of your screen and selecting “System Preferences…” from the drop down menu.
- Select “Security & Privacy”.
- On the General tab you may need to unlock the settings so you can make changes. Click the lock to unlock your settings if it is locked.
- You will now need to enter your login credentials to unlock the settings.
- Now you can select “Anywhere” under the “Allow applications downloaded from:” option. Confirm your selection by pressing the “Allow From Anywhere” button in the popup window.
- You may now re-lock your settings if you wish to by clicking the lock icon in the bottom left corner of your screen. Now close the Window using the red circle in the upper left corner of the Window and attempt to open the zipped package again.
- “Continue” past the introduction.
- Select which hard drive you would like to install Identity Finder on, and “Continue”.
- Here you can choose a location to install Identity Finder to or just use the default location and click “Install”.
- You may need to enter your login information to authorize the installation.
- Once the installation is complete close the installer.
- You can then confirm that it has installed successfully by using “Finder” to locate it in the “Applications” section.
- It is recommended that you proceed by running through the documentation on getting started with Identity Finder.
