Brett McKeachnie is passionate about UVU and the opportunities it provides, not only for students, but also for employees. Brett is a proud UVU Alumnus, having earned both Associate and Bachelor’s degrees from UVSC. Since 1993, Brett has served the employees of UVU in various Information Technology roles. Over his 20 year UVU tenure, Brett has earned several institutional and PACE awards as a result of his hard work and dedication. Through participation on UVU committees and task forces like Strategic Directions and Core Values, and on the PACE board, Brett has been instrumental in ensuring employees’ issues are kept on the forefront as he has helped to shape UVU’s mission and values. As PACE President, Brett works hard to ensure UVU continues to be a GREAT place to work.
Brett and his wife, Carry are the proud parents of six. Their family serves actively in many roles in their community of Mona and Nephi, Utah. UVU pride runs deep in this family, and the whole family looks forward to graduating from UVU
Alexis Palmer has been the senior director of Community & Continuing Education since 2013. She started her career at UVU in 2004 where she was the coordinator and later the director of the Volunteer & Service-Learning Center. Alexis also is an adjunct professor for the Student Leadership & Success Studies department. Additionally, she is active in the Professional Association of Campus Employees where she served President-elect (2010-2011), President (2011-2013), and past President (2013-2014). Alexis received her BA degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University and her MS degree in Youth & Family Recreation from Brigham Young University. Prior to coming to UVU, she worked with the Points of Light Foundation and SERVE Idaho.
Joel has been serving as the PACE Vice President since July of 2012. Some of his responsibilities include representing PACE as the Faculty Senate liaison, serving on the EPAC Committee, and serving as an advocate for part-time employees. Prior to this position, he was a member of the PACE Social/Involvement Committee for 2 years. Joel is the Assistant Director of the Sorensen Student Center and has worked at UVU since 2001.
Sandi Koller is originally from Rexburg, Idaho, but now lives in Provo. She first came to UVU in 1998 as Administrative Assistant in the Math Department. She worked in that office for seven years. She has been the Administrative Assistant to Val Peterson, Vice President for Finance and Administration, for the last eight years. Before coming to UVU, she worked at, then, Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. She is married to LJ Koller, who also works at UVU. She has five children, six grandchildren, six step-children, and nine step-grandchildren. She loves her job; in fact she loves UVU. If you ask her, she bleeds GREEN -- Go Wolverines!
