Student Success and Retention

What your Student should Expect

Starting college involves change in your student's life - change of a significant nature.  Even students who are living at home leave behind the comfortable environment of high school and may be leaving well-established friendships.  If your college student is older, he or she may be entering college after some time in the workforce.  In either case, first-year students who commute to college enter new social and learning environments that present unique rewards and challenges.

The National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience offers a helpful guide for families of commuter students that the Office of Student Success & Retention at UVU would like to make available to families of first-year students.  For a free copy of the guide, please complete the form below and we will mail a copy to you.

Yes, I would like a copy of A Guide for Families of Commuter Students: Supporting Your Students Success!
