Your children... you held them and helped them through elementary school. Practiced your share of "tough love" through middle and high school, and now they're stepping off to college. And today, more than ever before, many of you aren't quite ready to step back yet. And it's not just you. Though they are certainly ready for some independence, many students still want (and expect) their parents to play a role in their college experience.
Recognizing this growing change in student and family culture, we understand that it is important to view parents as partners. This is why we are pleased to announce the establishment of the UVU Parent Association . If you are a parent or guardian of a UVU student, you are an automatic member (don't worry, membership is FREE). Beyond basic membership, parents can also get involved by serving on the Association Board or volunteering to assist at Parent Association events.
It is our belief that the UVU Parent Association, coupled with the UVU Parent Relations Council, will greatly improve the communication between the University and parents and families.
We are currently seeking to fill all leadership positions on the Association Board. If you are interested in more information about a leadership position within UVU Parent Association, please contact:
