WORK AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

          Prior to returning to Utah a few years ago, initially as the Regional Director of the Small Business Development Center located at UVU and then transitioning to teaching college full time, I had spent over 20 years working in the corporate world.  My work experience has been in the fields of investment and commercial banking, hospitality/tourism, commercial real estate development, management training and development, and consulting.  I have worked throughout the U.S. from offices in Los Angeles, New York City, Minneapolis, Billings, Seattle, Chicago, and St. Louis and in Southeast Asia.  In the non-profit field I also spent several years as the Executive Director of an international, humanitarian organization focusing on the training and development of entrepreneurs in Third World countries.  I grew up in a family business in Northern Wyoming and by the time I entered college had started and ran three successful businesses of my own.  In the public service arena, I have served as a Montana State Legislator and in 1984 was the Montana Republican Nominee for the United States Senate.
