Associate Professor - Finance and Economics
I am an Associate Professor of Economics in the Woodbury School of Business. My fields of specialization are Microeconomics, Industrial Organization, and Applied Econometrics, but I teach classes in many other areas, including Managerial and Environmental Economics.
My current research covers a variety of issues such as the economics of terrorism, structural econometrics analysis of regulated industries, electricity markets, global warming, and immigration.
Teaching is an especially important part of my job. Since coming to UVU, I've learned a great deal about student engagement techniques and the university's culture of engaged learning. In my classes, I strive to create a learner-centered classroom environment increasingly conducive to learning and student engagement.
