Ballroom Dance Program Director
Scott R. Asbell studied Ballroom Dance at Brigham Young University and performed with the award winning BYU Ballroom Touring Team for three and one half years. Scott's tenure included tours nationally and internationally on not only the Ballroom Team but Ballet and a special tour with the BYU Young Ambassadors to the Middle East.
Under the direction of Scott Asbell the Utah Valley State College Ballroom Dance Company has received many awards and accolades to include four Championship wins at the Prestigious Open British Championships held in Blackpool, England and 12 2nd place finishes at the United States National Championships. The UVSC Ballroom team travels nationally and internationally to compete and perform for many groups and audiences.
