UVU Community and Continuing Education

Diana Hunter is the Director of Instruction for Community and Continuing Education.

Ms. Hunter is a member of LERN (Learning Resource Network), which is the largest continuing education association in the world and of UPCEA (University Professional and Continuing Education Association) and is a board member of UPCEA Region West.  In 2009 she led UVU Community and Continuing Education to become one of only 33 LERN Certified Programs in the world.  She has made numerous conference presentations on marketing higher education, starting new continuing education programs, and developing a statewide community of practice. She is an active member of Orem Kiwanis, Utah Valley Toastmasters, and Pacesetters, the welcoming arm of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Hunter reorganized to follow continuing education industry best practices, uses industry metrics to measure success, and has increased efficiency. She began at UVU in 2001 and started Workforce Development, Contractor Continuing Education, and Command Spanish. Ms. Hunter has received three staff excellence awards during her employment at UVU.  To see the success story of customized training for Klune Industries, Inc. visit

Ms. Hunter has a Master's Degree in Business (MBA) from Boise State University and an undergraduate degree (BBA) with a double major in marketing and management from Idaho State University . She has been the Assistant Comptroller of an Idaho bank, a marketing/management consultant, has operated a travel service business, and has published articles on the family, travel, and continuing education.
